...even if you’re in a crosswalk. Friend of mine was the victim of a hit and run; he was hit by a car while crossing the street at my university. His got hit on his left side, his leg isn’t broken but he’s in a lot of pain and has trouble walking. Stay safe out there and never assume the other drivers gonna stop.

As I always say, roads are for cars, not pedestrians.
While drivers are required to yield to pedestrians, pedestrians need to be aware that there are cars on the road and that in the fight between a car and a pedestrian, the pedestrian will never come out on top, no matter what the law says about who was at fault.

Just a few hours ago, a 9 year old girl was killed where I live when a bus ran her over at a crosswalk.
Always look, regardless of where you are crossing

Also, look both ways if you’re crossing a one way. People are idiots.
